Kansas City begins clear and turns hot. Expect sun, a high near 91, east wind around 5 to 9 mph and a clear overnight low near 70. Handle asphalt errands early and carry water.
Last Night in the Metro
The final World Cup weekend closed with a reported 25,000-person Fan Fest crowd and the end of 18 days of free concerts. Regional team owners are discussing the tournament’s long-term effect on Kansas City soccer.
Roads, Ramps & Wrecks
RideKC lists construction reroutes at 14th and Holmes, U.S. 71 at Bannister Road and along the I-70 improvement corridor. Troost MAX and Routes 18, 23, 27 and 29 are among the affected services.
