STEP OUTSIDE KC

Kansas City reached 100°F with a 103°F heat index at 3:54 p.m. The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory through Friday evening, with warm nights limiting relief.

LAST NIGHT IN THE METRO

North Lawn tenants and Kansas City reached a relocation agreement after condemned units and vacate notices pushed residents into an organized response. Separately, police reported one person dead and two injured after a Sunday shooting near East 63rd Street.
